❀ Night is coming

"I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day:
the night cometh, when no man can work". John 9:4 KJV

Their future is in God's hands. But what about... They are watching us...

The enemy of our soul knows that he has but a short time. Every few days the world changes at the rate of what use to takes years, even decades.
There is a cry for the all night prayer meetings... altar calls that last longer than the preaching...
We were  born in the fire, fireplace chat won't do. Our children, young people and new babes must experience the Shekinah Glory as we have.

This is the acceptable year of the Lord - this is the year for revival - and it starts with you and me...

Is there a witness?

Truly the night is spreading throughout our world, and we have little time to do so much. May we be faithful, prayerful, and diligent in our reaching for those who need His peace and love in their hearts. God Bless, and have a wonderful Easter. With love.

Karen,

To be faithful is "big" with the Lord, and my desire.

Happy Easter to you too !!!

I guess I am getting to old and out of step! There was a time when Young People would stay at the church and pray almost all day Sunday. When you could hear the sound of MEN weeping in the pray before church? There was more to a prayer then just kneeling down and almost no sound is heard? Where are those who will lift up their voice to our Wonderful Lord? How about people committing themselves to praying during the Sunday Night service?
Yes. I guess that some think they have found a better way. Sorry, I am doing my very best to stand in the way, saying there is the old path, that path that will bring old time revival.

Just my feelings:

Mervi,

It's not old or young or out of step. You got it, we need old time revival, it is God's will that we have it!
Help us Lord to.

On the subject of REVIAL, there is one of my favorite books. “Why Revival tarries,” by Leonard Ravenhill.

Mervi,
I read a few excerpt from this book. The one word that jumps at me is the same as the one in you first comment, the need of the hour - prayer.

Amen! We do need revival like never before. May the Lord help us that have been in Christ for some time to live and conduct ourselves in such a way that the younger generation and new babes in Christ will hunger and thirst for a deeper relationship with God and experience those powerful moves of the Holy Ghost.

Catherine, great post! My daughter and I have often talked about the days when prayer meetings and altar calls lasted much longer than it does now. It seems that people want a microwave prayer meeting and mircrowave altar service now days. Lord, here I am. I am popping my request in the microwave and I expect my answer or needs to be met in 3 minutes. Or we think that we only have to offer Him a 3 minute sacrificial prayer. Then we think we should hear spiritually --- Ding, ding, ding, and our duty has been done. Then we wonder why things go wrong. He is not a microwave God.
